My Stuff
(Documentary, not rated, 80 minutes). Petri Luukkainen has been
buying lots of stuff to fill the emptiness left by his ex-girlfriend.
In order to simplify his life, he puts all of his worldly possessions
in a storage unit and only allows himself to retrieve one item a day
for a full year. What could have been a boring daily vlog is instead
a heartwarming examination of the significant objects in his life,
and the importance our society places on material items. Petri is a
charming protagonist and an excellent cinematographer, and his
hilarious friends and family make this an enjoyable watch. Rating:
Four Stars.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds intriguing and is reminiscent of that heart-wrenching final episode of the first season of "The Big C". I will seek this one out.
